The draw for the Rugby World Cup puts Ireland on the opposite side to New Zealand, South Africa and France.
It means that Ireland will avoid those sides in the knockout stage until the semi-finals, only if they top their pool.
Ireland's Pool D contains Scotland, Uruguay and Portugal for the 2027 tournament in Australia.
Hosts Australia have been pitted against New Zealand in Pool A, while defending champions South Africa are in Pool B along with Italy, Georgia and Romania.
England are on the same side of the draw as Ireland and Argentina and will face Wales, Tonga and Zimbabwe in Pool F.
