Ireland Manager Opens Up About Near Death In 2019

Stephen Kenny suffered a cardiac arrest at an airport while in charge of the U-21s.

Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny says some of his staff thought he'd died at a Stockholm airport two years ago. 

The then under-21 boss was hospitalised in 2019 after suffering a heart issue. 

Kenny says it was similar to that sustained by Christian Eriksen during the Euros. 

He revealed doctors couldn't find a pulse and that he'd turned blue. 

Kenny, who was fitted with a pacemaker and is now in good health, explained how stark the situation became:
