Ireland Must Defeat Denmark To Make Euro 2020

Loss to Switzerland narrows options

The Republic of Ireland now must beat Denmark in Dublin next month to qualify for Euro 2020 from Group D.

It follows last night's 2-0 defeat to Switzerland in Geneva.

Haris Seferovic fired the Swiss into an early lead and the home side sealed the win when Shane Duffy turned the ball into his own net late on.

Skipper Seamus Coleman was sent off for receiving a second yellow card.

He will now miss the game against the Danes on November 18th.
