Joseph Murphy finished 17th in the individual event.
Mullingar's former Olympian Joseph Murphy was part of the Irish team who finished 3rd at the Nations Cup event in Norway last weekend.
Ireland finished behind Great Britain and the USA after a superb performance from Murphy and his team-mates Elizabeth Power and Cathal Daniels in the cross country section.
Murphy is the brother to leading trainer in the region and former Grand National winning jockey, Ciaran.
A brilliant performance in this morning's final Cross Country phase has seen Sally Corscadden's Irish Eventing team finish third overall in the SAP Eventing Nations Cup @CHIO_Aachen Aachen in Germany. pic.twitter.com/1zyEwpiaDh
