IRFU Could Face €10M Losses If Ireland Matches Don't Go Ahead In 2020

It follow the postponement of matches due to COVID-19.

The IRFU could be facing a loss in excess of €10 million euro if Ireland's matches do not take place in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The financial cost of the crisis is stark, with the English Rugby Football Union facing a catastrophic loss of over £100 million in the worst case scenario.

World rugby have issued medical guidelines which have behind closed doors games as a reality until a vaccine or an anti-viral is found.
