Michael D.Higgins Leads Tributes To Jerry Kiernan

The former Olympian died yesterday aged 67.

President Michael D Higgins has led the tributes to Jerry Kiernan, who has sadly died at the age of 67. 

The Kerry native won the Dublin Marathon twice and finished ninth in the Marathon at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. 

He then became a successful athletics pundit and coach. 

Former european indoor champion David Gillick says Kiernan's honesty was refreshing:
