The Republic of Ireland under-21s will complete their European Championship qualifying campaign by November.
New manager Jim Crawford will also get the chance to check out his squad in a friendly match against Slovenia on September 7th.
The away qualifier against Italy will go ahead on October 13th before the home game against Iceland on November 12th which is followed by the last group match away to Luxembourg five days later.
The finals next year in Hungary and Slovenia will be played in two periods in March and then May and June.
