Emily Corbett is one of two debutante's selected by Donie Brennan.
Athlone Town and Irish underage player Emily Corbett of Clonaslee will make her inter-county debut this weekend, as Laois dip their toe into Division Two of the Lidl Ladies League.
They face Clare at 2pm on Sunday in Crettyard, with Donie Brennan's team looking to get off to the best possible start following their victory in the division three final against Kildare last season.
The headline will be Corbett, who is named at centre-half forward, but there's also a debut in the corner for Shifra Havill of St. Conleth's.
However, plenty of experience remains around the pitch as ten remain from that win over the lilywhites last Summer.
Veteran attacker Mo Nerney assumes her usual slot top of the left, while Anna Healy will wear the number 7 shirt, as Brennan keeps the faith with a defence that served Laois so well last season.
