Irishman Looks To Retain Green Jersey In Tour De France

Sam Bennett is the first Irish rider to wear it since 1989.

Sam Bennett will again be targeting his first stage win of this year's Tour de France. 

The seventh stage finish into Lavaur is ready made for the sprinters. 

Bennett holds a 12 point lead over Peter Sagan in the race for the green jersey. 

Britain's Adam Yates wears the yellow jersey, while Nicolas Roche is highest in general classification for Ireland in 44th place.
