Shane Lowry produced a strong finish to help Europe clinch the Ryder Cup in New York last night.
The Offaly man holed a six foot putt on the last green to take a crucial half point from his match with Russell Henley to help the visitors to a 15-13 win over the United States.
Europe went into the final day with a seven-point lead - but the US took eight and a half points from the 12 singles matches.
Lowry says holing the putt to retain the trophy was a special moment:
Team Europe captain Luke Donald says he endured "the most stressful 12 hours" of his life - after watching his team close out victory in golf's Ryder Cup.
They edged the USA 15-13 in New York - despite having a seven point lead at the start of the singles.
