That's how Mullingar Harriers runner Cormac Dalton is describing his run to 8th in the European Cross Country Championships in Belgium last weekend.
Dalton had won the senior national title the previous month in Gowran in Kilkenny, and managed to lead home a strong Irish team who narrowly missed out on a team medal.
The race was won in impressive and commanding fashion by Yann Schrub of France.
