The Lake County ran out 4-16 to 0-9 winners over away to Longford.
The Westmeath footballers ran up the score in their second round national league win over
Longford at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
The home side finished with 13 men but in reality the contest was over by the time David
McGivney and Andrew Farrell were send to the touchline.
Westmeath were second best for much of the first half but turned the game early in the
second thanks to a goal from Luke Loughlin in the 43rd minute.
The final score was 4-16 to 0-9.
