The Birr man has been in New Zealand since January.
Birr's Jack Regan is set to take another step on his journey down under, after being offered a training contract by one of New Zealand's Super Rugby franchises.
The 23 year old made the move to the southern hemisphere earlier this year and was an integral part of Otago's run to the Mitre10 Cup final.
Those performances have not gone un noticed and the 6ft 5in lock will now take his chance with the Highlanders in the new year.
He's also been offered a two-year contract to continue with Otago in the future.
