Ward was scheduled to fight in Pearse Stadium later this month.
Joe Ward's anticpiated open-air boxing event due to take place on June 28th has been cancelled.
The Moate professional fighter was due to fight Londoner Lerrone Richards at Pearse Stadium in Galway.
However, GBM Sports announced on their Instagram page that "Due to circumstances beyond our control, GBM's June 28th event now moves to a new venue in the UK".
In a statement to social media last night Ward said it is "very frustrating" that his fight has been cancelled and expressed disappointment at not being able to fight in Salthill.
