The Kilclonfert man won an All-Ireland as manager of the U20s in 2021.
'To be offered the Offaly job yesterday evening is a real honour' says new Offaly Senior Football Manager Declan Kelly.
The Kilclonfert man takes over Martin Murphy following his decision to step back from the role two weeks ago.
Kelly is well known across Offaly having been in charge of the U20 side that stormed to Leinster and All-Ireland success in 2021.
He says it's not something he had envisaged when starting out in management:
