Kilduff Secures First League Win As Athlone Manager

Dana Scheriff and Chloe Singleton were the goal scorers for The Town.

There was victory for Ciaran Kilduff in his first game as Athlone Town Women's manager at the weekend.

The midlanders secured a 2-0 win over Sligo Rovers on their return to League Of Ireland Premier Division action.

Dana Scheriff gave the hosts a 28th minute lead, while Chloe Singleton secured the three points with a second just before the half time break.

The win lifts The Town to just one point behind 6th place Wexford Youths.

Kilduff's side are next in action away to second place Shelbourne on Saturday 2nd September.
