NUIG and UL will meet in Carlow from 7:30pm.

There's Laois and Offaly interest in the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup final this evening.

Cathal Donoghue and Rory Egan started NUIG's semi-final win against MTU Kerry and are likely to do so again tonight.

While Portlaoise's Frank Flanagan will also be involved for the David Clifford led UL. He came on as a first-half substitute against DCU but is in line to be in from the outset this evening.

If the Galway college prevails, it will be a first title in 19 years, while the University of Limerick have never brought the Higher Education title back to Munster.

Throw-in is at 7:30pm in Carlow.

The second tier competition also reaches the final four stage this evening and there's local representation.

TUS Midlands Campus face GMIT in the Trench Cup.

TUSM have beaten the Cadets College and Mary Immaculate to get to this stage. They've also tasted defeat once to their sister school TUS-Midwest, who play reigning champions DKIT in the other knockout game.
