Cheddar Plunkett doesn't feel his side are ill-disciplined, despite picking up two red cards in their opening two league fixtures.

Paddy Purcell missed their defeat to Waterford on Sunday afternoon and they'll be without Ben Conroy in two weeks time against Kilkenny, after he was dismissed against the Déise.

The O'Moore boss thinks physicality is being taken out of the game:

Sometimes these things happen, you know. Ben was going in to dispossess and hold him up as such.

It was unfortunate and I think these incidents are harsh. Rules are there and a lot of that physicality is gone out of hurling.

But they are the rules and we can’t change that. I don’t think that this team could be regarded in any sense as being an ill-disciplined team.

Certainly Ben and Paddy Purcell would be the last players that you would say would pick up a card like that.”
