Laois Camogie Looking To Start Campaign On A Positive Note

The O'Moore County travel to Trim this weekend.

Laois' Camogie panel are prepping for their Championship bow this weekend.

Noel Brennan's charges take on a Meath side that were narrowly beaten in the Very Camogie League division 2A final against Kerry last month.

Laois have had a tumultuous build up to their championship.

Having initially been relegated last year, they found themselves pitched back in to the Intermediate championship.

The O'Moore County lost their five league games, including a close fought 2-7 to 2-6 defeat to Meath.

Throw in at Trim GAA is set for 5pm.

On the same day, Westmeath make their Championship bow against Kerry in TEG Cusack Park at 2pm.
