The O'Moore County are chasing their first win of 2023.
Laois have a fortnight of good training behind them ahead of their Joe McDonagh opener against Offaly according to the team's captain, Willie Dunphy.
The O'Moore county dropped down from the Liam McCarthy Cup last year and will be looking to get their first win of 2023 after a difficult Division One campaign that ended in relegation.
Offaly for their part are moving the other way, having secured promotion to the top flight for next year after they beat Kildare in the Division Two A Final.
