Laois hurlers survived a late surge from Carlow to edge out the one point winners after a tense Division 1B League clash at MW Hire O'Moore Park last night.
Ross King was the Laois hero scoring 0-12 from play and frees including the winning point from a placed ball in the 70th minute.
In Division 2A of the Hurling League Kerry beat Wicklow by 1-20 to 1-12.
Elsewhere Dublin defeated Donegal in the Football League by 1-15 to 1-14 in Croke Park.
In Division 2 Cavan had three points to spare against Fermanagh.
In Division 3 Down beat Longford by two points and Cork pipped Tipperary to record their third win in a row.
Waterford beat Sligo in Division 4.
In The Eirgrid Leinster U-20 semi-final Dublin beat Meath by 2-14 to 0-7 and will face Laois in the final.
