Billy Sheehan's time in charge has come to an end after two seasons.
Billy Sheehan's time as the manager of Laois senior footballers has come to an end.
It's believed following a review of the 2023 season, the decision has been arrived at to end his tenure after two years over the county.
Sheehan brought the O'Moore County to a Tailteann Cup semi-final in what was an otherwise disappointing campaign this year.
Failure to win promotion from Division Four was followed by a heavy defeat in exiting the Leinster championship and some poor performances in the group phase of the Tailteann Cup.
The first year of Sheehan's time saw relegation from Division Three after defeats to both Limerick and Longford at home.
Wicklow accounted for Laois in preliminary round of the Leinster Championship, and eventual winners Westmeath knocked them out of the inaugural Tailteann Cup.
Laois are now on the hunt for a sixth manager since 2015.
