The O'Moore county face an uphill battle to keep their season alive.
The Laois Ladies footballlers began their All Ireland Championship campaign with defeat at home to Armagh on Saturday.
Donie Brennan's side were second best to the Orchard County as they surged to a 3-12 to 2-08 victory away in Portlaoise.
Katie Donoghue grabbed two second half goals for the O'Moore County however the gap was too big in the end to mount a late comeback.
Up next for the midland's side is a trip to face Mayo on Saturday July 1st with a win necessary to keep their season alive.
