The O'Moore County has a proud championship record against Offaly.
The Laois senior footballers are readying themselves for a "battle" ahead of their midlands derby meeting with Offaly this weekend, according to their captain, Evan O'Carroll.
The two counties have experienced very different league campaigns this year with Offaly narrowly avoiding relegation from Division Three while Laois were crowned Division Four champions.
The O'Moore County also bring strong head to head form in this weekend's Leinster Quarter Final meeting.
O'Carroll's side haven't lost to Offaly in championship action since the provincial Championship of 2002.
The Crettyard man says there's no shortage of teammates that will insist on Laois being at their best.
He sat down with Kevin Egan to look forward to the Offaly game and to reflect on a successful season so far:
Midlands 103 will have live commentary from Laois Hire O'Moore Park where the action gets underway at 7pm on Saturday.
