Laois SHC: Drama Unfolds In Round Two

There was plenty of talking points from the latest round of games.

The second round of the Laois Senior Hurling Championship took place over the weekend. 

Five games took place, with four games ending in wins and one game ending in a draw.

Reigning champions Clough Ballacolla secured their second win of the season as they saw off Ballinakill by 1-23 to 0-21 on Friay evening.

Stephen Bergin finished the game as top scorer with 1-5, with Jordan Walshe and Willie Dunphy scoring 0-4 each.

2023 champions Camross were 2-24 to 1-23 winners over Rathdowney Errill on Saturday evening. 

Camross came from nine points down at half time to claim victory, with Mossy Keyes striking 1-4 in the second half.

Elsewhere, The Harps were comprehensive 3-22 to 0-13 winners over Abbeyleix St Lazarian's and Portlaoise played out a 1-14 to 0-17 draw with Borris In Ossory Kilcotton. 

On Thursday, Rosenallis defeated Ballyfin by 3-16 to 0-16.
