Laois suffered defeat away to Wexford in the Intermediate Championship, as the Yellowbellies secured a 5-12 to 2-14 win.
Emily Lacey impressed with 1-10 for her side, however Wexford outscored their opponents 2-9 to 1-2 in the second half to overturn a three point half time deficit.
The O'Moore County will now face a relegation semi-final.
Elsewhere, Offaly made it back to back wins in the Junior Championship with a comprehensive 5-27 to 0-3 win away to Kilkenny.
Offaly sit top of the group after their opening three games.
