Sunday's Tailteann Cup semi-final throws in at 4pm.
Laois will be coming up against a side with Division Two quality when they meet Down in Croke Park this weekend, according to their manager Billy Sheehan.
Down impressed throughout their league campaign while narrowly missing out on promotion.
Laois however, managed to beat a promoted Fermanagh in the Tailteann Cup preliminary quarter final before going on the win against Limerick last time out.
Speaking to David Hollywood, Sheehan says his side are thrilled to be competing at the sharp end of the season:
