Late Goal Knocks Offaly Out Of Leinster U20 Football Championship

Patrick Molahan got the winning goal for Longford.

Offaly missed out on a place in the Leinster semi-finals of the U20 Football Championship last night.

Roger Ryan’s side fell to a 3-13 to 1-17 defeat away to Longford, with Patrick Molahan getting a late goal to snatch victory. 

Cormac Flynn and Max Gallagher got the other goals for their side, with Dylan Dunne finding the net for the Faithful. 

Elsewhere, Westmeath’s clash with Kildare was abandoned at half time. 

Kildare led by 0-6 to 0-3, before a pitch inspection resulted in referee Ian Howley calling off the game.
