Leicester Close Gap To Ten Points

Pellegrini sacked by West Ham

The gap at the top of the Premier League is now 10 points as a weakened Leicester City were still too good for West Ham United at the London Stadium. Goals from Ihenacho and Gray securing a 2-1 win

After the game West Ham announced that manager Manuel Pellegrini would be leaving the club immediately. Former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes is one of the early favourites to replace him.

Manchester United are up to 5th and just a point behind the top four after a two-nil win against Burnley at Turf Moor last night. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford with the goals.

Liverpool can re-establish a 13 point lead at the top of the table if they can beat Wolves at Anfield today (4.30pm)

Arsenal entertain Chelsea in a big London derby (2pm) while later this evening champions Manchester City are at home to Sheffield United (6.30pm)

 

In the Championship the leaders West Brom are at home to Middlesboro while second placed Leeds United visit Birmingham City.

 

The Old Firm Derby is the highlight Scotland when Celtic host Rangers at Parkhead at 12.30pm.
