This year's prize winners came from Kilkenny and Dublin.
The EirGrid Leinster Community Hero winners have been announced.
Liam Hoban of Whitehall Colmcille GAA in Dublin is this year's winner, while Slieverue's Laura Mooney of Kilkenny is the runner up.
Now in its second year, the campaign recognises the role GAA volunteers play in enriching and sustaining communities around the country.
Over the course of four weeks, EirGrid received almost 80 entries nominating Community Heroes.
Sinead Dooley, EirGrid’s Head of Public Engagement said: “EirGrid was delighted to receive such a large number of truly deserving entries, all demonstrating the exceptional amount of time and energy that volunteers in the GAA give to help their clubs and communities flourish.
The winners’ clubs will each receive €5,000 and the runners-up’s clubs will each receive €1,500.
The four provincial winners will now go forward to a final round to choose an overall national winner for an additional €5,000 prize.
