The Lake County booked their place in the Leinster Final after their 2-21 to 0-23 point win over Kildare in O'Connor Park.
Alex Beirne's late point forced extra time, but Westmeath came through with flying colours to secure victory.
Brían Cooney and Brandon Kelly got their side's two goals, while Sam McCartan also impressed with 0-5.
The victory means they will face Dublin in the finale in two weeks time.
