Limerick To Lose LOI Representation

Limerick FC lose licence

Limerick is on the verge of being without League of Ireland representation for the first time since 1937.

A liquidator is set to be appointed to Limerick FC after a judge discharged an examiner that was appointed in September.

Ennis Circuit Court heard yesterday that an investor had been identified but the necessary funding for the club's creditors could not be produced.

Limerick will not be granted a licence for the 2020 season.
