There were wins for DCU, UL and Letterkenny last night.
It's another packed night of action in the first round of the Sigerson Cup tonight and we will take a look at the local interest in each game.
MTU Kerry Campus v UCD
This game had a 2:30 throw-in and contains the largest percentage of local interest on the day.
The Downs pair Charlie Drumm and Jonathon Lynam along with Athlone's Ray Connellan were in the UCD panel for the game.
On the opposing sideline was Jake Foster of Portarlington and Laois.
In what will be viewed as a major upset, Foster and his team mates have come out on top on a score-line of 1-13 to 0-11.
A tie against either MTU Cork Campus and UCC awaits in the next round.
NUI Galway v Ulster University
There's three well known Offaly players involved in the Galway team in the form of Edenderry's Rory Egan, Kilcormac's Cathal Donoghue and David Dempsey from Ballycommon.
It's unknown to what extent the role each will play in this fixture.
