Lough Lene Gaels progressed to the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship final for the first time since 2009.
The best team made it to the Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship final, according to the county semi-final's losing manager.
Alan Mangan is reflecting on the end of Castletown Geoghegan's reign as champions after their 1-16 to 1-15 defeat to Lough Lene Gaels.
Mangan's side trailed until Niall O'Brien dispatched a 56th minute penalty to put them in the driving seat.
Derek McNicholas popped up with a late winner for the Gaels to send them in to their first final since their 2009 defeat to Clonkill.
Mangan says Lough Lene Gaels deserve their success:
Joey Williams side will face Raharney in the decider on Sunday, October 8th.
