Luke Donald has put his faith in the Clara golfer for this year's Ryder Cup.
Shane Lowry will be representing Offaly and Ireland in Rome for this year's Ryder Cup.
The Clara man has been announced as one of Team Europe Captain Luke Donald's six wildcard picks for the matchplay tournament.
Lowry was a wildcard pick in Europe's heavy defeat to the USA in 2021, scoring one point from three matches.
He'll return to action this week for the Irish Open at the K Club which tees off on Thursday morning.
Donald's other wildcard picks include debutant Sepp Straka, Ludvig Aberg, Justin Rose, Nicolai Hojgaard, and Tommy Fleetwood who told Sky Sports that selection for his third Ryder Cup "feels special".
The wildcards will be joined by automatic qualifiers, Rory McIlroy, John Rahm, Robert McIntyre, Viktor Hovland, Tyrrell Hatton, and Matt Fitzpatrick.
