Lowry Languishes Outside Top 30 In Fed-Ex Standings

Offaly golfer will need strong BMW Championship this weekend to make Tour Championship.

Shane Lowry will have to find another gear this weekend if he is to make the Fed-Ex Play Off decider in two weeks' time.

He finished in a tie for 46th on four-under at the St Jude Championship in Memphis.

The 2019 Open Champion has slipped to 38th in the standings, the top 30 will qualify for the Tour Championship and a chance to play for an $18 million prize.

American golfer Will Zalatoris won his first PGA Tour title after taking victory in Memphis.

He beat Austria's Sepp Straka on the third play-off hole to secure the win, after the pair finished the weekend on 15-under-par.
