Irish hurdler Sarah Lavin has been named with the Clara man to carry the Irish flag.
Offaly's Shane Lowry and Limerick's Sarah Lavin will be Ireland's flag bearers for the Olympic Games in Paris.
The opening ceremony of the Games takes place along the River Seine in the French capital tonight.
Team Ireland has 133 competitors.
Lowry begins his campaign for a medal with Rory McIlroy on Thursday next week, while Lavin takes to the track for the 100m hurdles on Wednesday August 7th.
