Lowry Sitting Pretty On Masters Leaderboard As McIlroy Struggles

Clara's Open Champion shot an impressive round of 68 yesterday.

Shane Lowry is three shots off the lead heading into day two at the Masters. 

An opening round of four-under-par 68 sees the Offaly man lie in a tie for sixth at Augusta. 

Viktor Hovland, Brooks Koepka and Jon Rahm share the lead on seven-under-par.

Rory McIlroy is level par after a 72.

McIlroy admits he struggled at times during his first round.

Seamus Power is one-over, with Belfast amateur Matthew McClean on five-over-par.
