Laois' senior footballer and hurler of the year has been named.
Mark Barry and Paddy Purcell were named as the Laois Senior footballer and hurler of the year over the weekend.
In football, Barry excelled for the O'Moore County, who's season ended as they dropped out of the Tailteann Cup at the first round stage at the hands of Westmeath.
The O'Dempsey's man was also instrumental in his club's run to the county final this year where Portarlington ran out convincing winners.
Paddy Purcell's Rathdowney Erril side were dispatched from the county championship at the semi final stages while Laois were relegated back to the Joe McDonagh Cup after a difficult intercounty championship campaign.
Purcell impressed throughout and is Senior hurler of the year in Laois.
