McIlroy Looking Forward To 'Big Performance' As Lowry Set To Start Early

Neither Lowry or McIlroy have found their best form this season.

Rory McIlroy believes he's trending towards a big performance.

The Holywood native bids to win his fifth major championship as he tees it up at the US Open later today.

Despite a disappointing final round at last week's Canadian Open, McIlroy says he's close to finding form.

The other Irish players in the field include Clara's Shane Lowry who starts at 3.40, Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power.

Belfast amateur Matthew McClean plays alongside Power at the Los Angeles Country Club.
