McIlroy caps great season with award.
Rory McIlroy didn't land a major title in 2019, but that hasn't stopped the County Down golfer from winning the PGA Tour Player of the Year award.
McIlroy edged American Brooks Koepka for the accolade, which was voted upon by fellow players.
30 year old McIlroy won 3 tournaments this year, including the Players and Tour Championships.
Koepka for his part took the US PGA title and was runner up at both the Masters and US Open.
