It's been a positive start for the midlands runners in 2026.
There were strong performances from Midlands athletes at the Leinster Masters and Intermediate Cross Country Championships on Sunday.
Mullingar Harriers AC member Jack Moran was second in the Men's Intermediate Race.
Kevin Moore from Mullingar Harriers AC was the strongest midlands performer in the Masters Race, with fellow club member Dan Morris also finishing strong in 6th.
Kevin Minnock and Paul Mitchell from Tullamore Harriers AC alongside Mick Fogarty of Ferbane Athletic Club all finished inside the top eight.
Gerard Hanlon from Edenderry A.C Seniors came in 22nd place, meaning the Offaly team secured silver Leinster medals.
Meanwhile, Orlaith Flanagan from Mullingar Harriers AC impressed with a 6th place finish in the Intermediate race.
Sarah Flanagan, Nita McLoughlin and Niamh McEnhill formed the scoring team from Tullamore Harriers for Offaly finished in the Masters Ladies Event.
Sharon O'Dowd from Mullingar Shamrocks AC finished the race in 13th position, with Anna Marie O'Dowd also impressing with a 15th place finish and Joanna Bula coming 21st.
In the Over 50 race, Caroline Donnellan of Edenderry AC was the leading Offaly finisher, placing an impressive eighth and contributing to Offaly’s bronze team medal.
