Midlands Athletes Impress At National Masters Track And Field Championships.

The championship took place last weekend.

Midlands athletes were in action at the National Masters Track and Field Championships. 

Tullamore Harriers member Olive Mannion won Gold in the 1500m and Silver in the Shot Put, with Stephen Byrne winning gold in the 100m race. 

Joseph Mulligan also came home with three individual medals. 

Mullingar Harriers had some winners too, with Paddy Boyhan winning Gold in the High Jump, Ramona Carey won Gold in the Shot Put, with Aidan O’Donoghue winning Silver in the 100m Hurdles. 

Colm Walsh and Sean McMullin also won Gold in the 5000m Race Walk. 

There were plenty of winners from St Abban’s, with Peter Condron winning Gold in the 200m and 400m Sprint, with John Territt winning Silver in the Shot Put and Men’s Discus. 

Bernie Lawless won Silver in the Women’s Hammer Throw, with John Territt claiming another Gold in the Men’s.
