Alex Dunne has found himself in the top half of the standings so far.
Clonbullogue's Alex Dunne finished just outside the points on his race debut in F3 this morning.
The Offaly teenager started the Bahrain Sprint Race in 14th place and managed to move his way up to 12th by the chequered flag.
The race was won by the grid's youngest driver, Arvid Lindblad, with Laurens van Hoepen in second, and Leonardo Fornaroli completing the podium in third.
Dunne will start tomorrow's feature race from the same 14th place tomorrow.
The action gets underway at 9am.
