Laois will receive the highest amount of funds in the midlands.
A combined €1.1 million is being allocated to Sports Partnerships across the Midlands for 2026.
The local bodies promote participation for activities and help to develop local clubs, with a certain amount set aside to promote women and girls getting involved in sport.
Laois is getting the highest amount of core funding at €419,000, followed by Offaly with over €341,000 and Westmeath at €327,000.
While the adjacent Women in Sport scheme sees Laois get the most funds at €25,000, Offaly gets 15,000 and Westmeath just €5,000
