Ronan Foxe will be hoping for some senior game time over the course of the forthcoming season.

Westmeath's Ronan Foxe is joining the Munster Academy after departing the Leinster equivalent.

The 20 year old Rahugh man shot to prominence over the summer in making his under 20 international debut, followed by winning a starting position in Ireland's run to the under 20 World Cup final, where they lost to France.

The former Midlands Warriors and Tullamore RFC prop made 13 appearances for Old Belvedere last season and will play his club rugby with Garryowen for the new AIL season.

Munster called on six academy players for their first round URC victory over the Sharks.
