The Mullingar Shuffler won his six round fight with Jose Hernandez Flores in Salon Rosas in Mexico on points on Saturday.
It marks the Olympic silver medalist's first fight in five years, leaving him with a perfect record of 15 fights, and 15 wins.
Nevin's previous fight was a 10 round win on decision against Freddy Fonseca at York Hall in 2019.
