The new Laois manager will need the right backroom team if he's to prove a success next year, according to Midlands 103 commentators, Jack Nolan and Enda Lyons.
Darren Gleeson is set to take over the O'Moore County after a successful spell with Antrim.
Laois won promotion back to Division One this year, and came close to securing promotion back to the Leinster Championship - losing at the death to Offaly in a classic contest in Croke Park.
Nolan says a modern day manager is only as effective as their backroom team.
