Nicole Turner Credits Childhood Coach Following Paralympic Medal

She's speaking at the final call for nominations for the 2021 Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards.

Just over a month after winning silver in the 50m Butterfly at the Paralympic games in Tokyo, Portarlington's Nicole Turner says the main emotion remains relief. 

It was the end of a long five-year journey, during which she prioritised her sport over all other aspects of her life.

She's crediting her childhood coach with instilling a love of swimming in her as the final call for nominations for the 2021 Federation of Irish Sport Volunteers in Sport Awards is underway.
