Tiger Woods has a share of the lead after the opening round of the first ever PGA Tour golf event in Japan.

The 15-time major champion is tied with fellow American Gary Woodland on 6-under-par at The Zozo Championship - one shot ahead of home player Hideki Matsuyama.

Clara's Shane Lowry is one over after a 71, with Rory McIlroy two over over after a 72.

Graeme McDowell shot a disappointing 81 to sit on 11 over par after day one and props up the field.
